Peter Knaack
Peter Knaack is an Associate at CEP as well as Adjunct Professor at the School of International Service, American University. He is also a Research Associate at the Centre for Sustainable Finance at SOAS, University of London. His research focuses on climate and transition finance as well as global financial governance. He has worked and published on inclusive green finance, the political economy of global banking regulation, China’s role in global financial governance, and the growing tension between nation-states and transgovernmental networks over the authority to govern cross-border economic activity. Peter graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in Economics and International Relations. His recent monograph (Routledge, 2023) examines the gap between the financial regulatory reform commitments made by G20 leaders in the wake of the global financial crisis and the reality of their implementation.
