Julia Bingler

Senior Fellow

Julia Bingler is a Senior Fellow at the Council on Economic Policies, focusing on integrating novel risks and deep structural changes in financial supervision and monetary policy. Amongst others, she works with financial regulators, supervisors and central banks on ensuring the future effectiveness of their existing instruments, and on developing novel approaches to challenges such as AI-driven change in economics and finance, and on climate-related risks. Julia is also Research Associate in Financial Risk Data Analytics at the University of Oxford, where she focuses on applying AI methods to extract and structure financially relevant information at scale. She holds a PhD in Economics from ETH Zurich and completed an M.Sc. at Leipzig University and another M.Sc. at London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Her work has been featured amongst others in Bloomberg, the Business Times, and the Financial Times.
