Knut Bergmann

Knut Bergmann is the head of communication and the Berlin branch office of the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. He is also Honorary Professor at the University of Bonn. Knut studied political science with minors in psychology as well as public law and holds a doctoral degree from the University of Bonn. Prior to joining the institute, he worked for the TV talkshow moderator Sabine Christiansen, the policy planning department of the Office of the Federal President, and as a speechwriter for the President of the German Bundestag. From 2009 until 2011 he was a fellow of the foundation “stiftung neue verantwortung” where he led two projects on “a new culture of wealth” and “the future of political parties”. He regularly publishes on a wide range of social and public policy topics.
