Governments around the world have established ambitious policy goals to make their energy systems more affordable, secure and clean. While progress is underway, much remains to be done.
Against this background, CEP is launching a series of roundtables designed to convene policymakers and key stakeholders in a trusted informal space and build a global community of thought leaders to advance a whole-of-government approach to support a sustainable energy future.
We hosted the first roundtable in Paris on 1 March to explore the opportunities and pitfalls of fiscal and regulatory frameworks for a sustainable energy future in France under the title “Transformation énergétique de la France – Politiques économiques pour une énergie abordable, sécurisée et propre”.
We are also looking forward to hosting an international event in Switzerland later in the year to jointly distill insights from each country roundtable, identify gaps in knowledge and opinions, outline landing areas for convergence, and contribute towards building the agenda for next steps.
Participation in the roundtables is by invitation. If you want to engage on this topic or find out more about them, we would be glad to hear from you at [email protected].
